It’s been 40 years since Waco voters have passed a City bond election. Where would Waco
be today without our last successful bond that passed in 1967? We would not have a Convention
Center at all which has provided over $270 million into our local economy (in direct, incoming dollars),
many hundreds of jobs, and a foundation for downtown Waco’s resurgence. That 1967 bond also
gave us our low-water dam that significantly widened the Brazos, stabilized its level and enhanced
its beauty. On this site, read what today’s citizens can offer to future generations by voting Yes May 12.
