It’s been 40 years since City of Waco voters have passed a bond election. Where would
Waco be today without our last successful bond that passed in 1967? We would not have
a Convention Center at all which has provided over $270 million into our local economy
(in direct, incoming dollars), or a low-water dam that significantly widened the Brazos.
That bond also brought three new fire stations, numerous roads and bridges, the Texas
Ranger Museum, park improvements and much more. On this site, read what today’s
citizens can offer to future generations by voting Yes May 12.

Welcome to
Waco Citizens for Progress

We appreciate your concern for our City’s future and its continued advancement as a home of choice for families and corporations alike. In the bond election to be held May 12, we can take nothing for granted in working to bring to fruition the six projects deemed worthy of inclusion. One of our primary challenges in a May election is to get out the vote! But first, there is persuasion to be done and information to be delivered.

We thank you for considering your participation, guiding our further contact with you as one of the Waco Citizens for Progress.

If you have questions, please contact Mickey Reyes at The Cowley Group, afternoons M-F at 754-7300, ext. 17.
